Encouraging bursts of mindful behavior đâ¨
Dr. Kelly Landry, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA
Whether youâre a parent/caregiver, a teacher, a behavior-analytic undergrad or graduate student, or anyone looking for support in understanding the âwhyâ associated with behavior, my practice is grounded in evidence-based tactics blended with compassionate care and a âconnection before complianceâ approach to help uncover the factors maintaining behaviors.
âBehaviorâ is not just âgoodâ or âbadâ. Everything an organism does is âbehaviorâ. To truly understand that and acquire the tools for recognizing those variables maintaining the âunwantedâ behaviors and replacing with desired behaviors is where the magic happens.
MindfulBxBursts LLC provides support in just that – encouraging bursts of mindful behavior(s). Not just from others, but also from within ourselves.
Dr. Kelly Landry is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Louisiana. She earned her PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. With eleven years of dedicated service in the realm of early intervention Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) specifically tailored for autistic children, Dr. Landryâs professional journey has included behavioral interventions across clinical settings, homes, and public-school classrooms spanning five parishes in Louisiana. Aside from her clinical work, she also teaches ABA coursework to graduate students at a local university.
Providing behavioral consulting services highlights her profound aspiration to elevate awareness of behavior-analytic contact in general, evidence-based behavior management tactics, mindfulness-based interventions, compassionate care in both service delivery and as a self-care measure, and caregiver support. She aims to foster greater integration of mindful, compassionate care in service delivery and treatment integrity within the field of behavior analysis.
Behavior goes where reinforcement flows.
